The Blues will have to sell their key midfielder and France international N’Golo Kante before they can sign Declan Rice.

Kante continues to struggle with various injury problems over the past couple of seasons and is now in his last 18 months of his deal with the Blues

Despite the injury, Kante remains instrumental in the Blues squad as he scored twice and provided two assists in 15 Premier League matches.

But there are doubts about his future at Stamford Bridge, especially with his age, and Chelsea may no longer extend his contract at the club.

A latest report via the Daily Mail reports that Chelsea will have to part ways with Kante if they want to reunite with Rice, who is they will have to break the bank for before they can sign him.

This comes as West Ham manager David Moyes has stated that it will take “humongous money” for his side to let Rice’s leave.

Aside from Chelsea, Manchester United are also interested in the West Ham star.

Rice was a player at Chelsea’s academy before he went on to join West Ham’s youth setup in 2013 and has gone on to become one of their important players in the first team.
