Chelsea warned against selling this player
Former Chelsea star Joe Cole in a recent statement, has warned the Blues against selling Conor Gallagher, who was recently called to join the English national team.
Cole stated that Gallagher is a ‘special’ who could have a great future at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea sent the 21-year-old on another loan transfer to Crystal Palace at the start of the summer after spending last season with West Brom.
His performance has improved under the tutelage of Patrick Vieira at Crystal Palace as he has scored four goals and created two assists this season.
Cole believes he would perform in the Blues first team if given the opportunity.
“He can play box-to-box, No.8, he can play with his back to goal, he could play as a No.10,” Cole told JOE.
“He’s better as a No.8/box-to-box and he could even play at Chelsea where Kovacic plays, but he would score more goals than Mateo Kovacic.
“Chelsea won’t sell him, Chelsea ain’t silly. Him and [Billy] Gilmour who is out on loan at Norwich. He’s probably gone above Billy because of what he’s done. He’s gone on loan and done it, he’s such a talent.
