Chelsea unwilling to let this player leave

Chelsea are said to be keen on keeping their key player Trevor Chalobah at Stamford Bridge despite interest for him from other clubs.

Chalobah has proved himself to be a key squad member in the Blues squad since returning from a season-long loan spell at Lorient in 2021.

Despite this, the 23-year-old lacks game chances as he has fallen behind in the pecking order, especially with the arrival of multiple defensive players at Chelsea.

Owing to this, Chalobah has been linked with moves to Inter Milan and other European clubs this January, as per Evening Standard.

Speaking about Chalobah’s future, journalist, Simon Phillips, shared his opinions on Give Me Sport.

Phillips said, “On the club side of things, Chelsea, at the moment, are not willing to listen to offers for Chalobah because they want him for depth, and they need him in the squad. They like his versatility. They are not ready to entertain any offers this month.”

Recall that Chalobah had in November 2022 extended his contract with the Blues until June 2028.
