Chelsea top hierarchy reportedly disagree over club manager decision
The future of Frank Lampard at Chelsea has reportedly cause a rift between top hierarchy at the club.
Frank Lampard’s future at Chelsea has been on the spotlight for the past few seasons as the blues are currently lying ninth on the Premier League table, eleven points behind leaders, Manchester United.
According to reports, top hierarchy including club owner Roman Abramovich and Marina Granovskaia have disagree over how to replace Frank Lampard at the club.
Top managers have been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge but the blues are yet to decide whether Frank Lampard will be sacked due to the fact that he’s a club legend.
A new report on the Daily Star Sunday have picked up on a story by ESPN claiming that club owner Abramovuch and director Granovskaia are sharing different view on the situation of having a new coach at the club.
The reports noted that they are yet to agree whether an interim coach will be needed or Lampard will be given a chance till the end of the season before he is shown the exit door.
Waiting till the end of the season will give the new coach a chance to know his team very well rather than midway through the season where everything is at stake.
Former Blues manager Avram Grant and ex-Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko have been linked with a move to Chelsea while the likes of Thomas Tuchel and Julian Nagelsmann have also been named.
