Former Chelsea star, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, has encouraged the club’s board, under new owner Todd Boehly, to make a move for Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane in the summer transfer window.

Hasselbaink favoured Chelsea’s move for Kane to Stamford Bridge, as he added that the England striker would strengthen Chelsea.

“Chelsea will have to be creative and find a different way to accommodate that position [centre-forward],” Hasselbaink told Safe Betting Sites.

“The only person you could go and get who is that type of player who will strengthen Chelsea in that position is Harry Kane. If I was in charge, I would go after him.

He added, “I know he is 29, but at the end of the season, he’ll only have one or two years left on his contract. I don’t think that he would cost £100m this summer.”

Aside from Chelsea, Man Utd have also revived interest in Kane as his contract ends with Tottenham at the end of this season.
