Chelsea have been advised to make a surprise move for France international and Man Utd midfielder Paul Pogba.

This is according to former Premier League striker Darren Bent, who stressed that Pogba is a better combination with Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante in the midfield.

The Red Devils midfielder has again been linked with a departure away from Old Trafford this summer unless he agrees to a fresh contract.

It is no longer news that the 28-year-old has always been linked with a departure during his time at Man United, with Pogba saying he could be ready for a new challenge in 2019 and his agent Mino Raiola making numerous comments about him.

French club PSG have been linked with moves for Pogba, but Bent belives Chelsea should also join the race.

Bent said on talkSPORT: “When Paul Pogba plays alongside Kante, he looks a completely different player!

“If they were to go and sign him, Chelsea, wow, that midfield three. But again, he doesn’t really score enough goals.”

When asked if Pogba would get more time on the ball if he played in midfield for Chelsea alongside Kante, he responded: “Yeah, he would.”
