Chelsea are reportedly ready to offer Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku as part of a deal to sign 29-year-old striker Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.

The report via Calciomercato revealed that the Blues are planning the ambitious swap deal to sign the Tottenham star.

Chelsea’s new manager Graham Potter is said to be a huge admirer of Kane and wants the club’s owners to bring him to Stamford Bridge next summer.

Kane was linked with moves away from the Hotspurs last summer with Manchester City interested in his services, but the deal didn’t work out as Manchester City ended up signing Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.

Lukaku returned to Stamford Bridge last summer for a deal worth £97.5 million but he struggled to impress scoring just 15 goals in 44 matches across all competitions last season.

In the recent summer, the striker was loaned back to Inter Milan this season, who have the option to extend it for another year.

The report hinted that should Inter decide to keep the Belgian striker for another year, the Blues might offer new signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Tottenham.

Recall that Lukaku impressed under now-Spurs manager Antonio Conte when they were together at Inter Milan where they won the Scudetto in the 2020-21 season.
