Chelsea to offer new bid for Casadei

It seems Chelsea are keen on signing Inter Milan midfielder Cesare Casadei before the transfer window closes.

This comes as the latest report discloses that the Blues are set to table a third offer for Casadei as Inter Milan want at least £15m (£12m).

The Italian side had rejected two bids of less than £10m from Chelsea for the young midfielder in the past, and it is believed the third may be the Blues’ chance to sign the young midfielder.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sempre Inter) and a recent report from the Evening Standard, Inter are still hoping to get close to their original asking price of €20m (especially without a buyback clause).

Another report from Gianluca Di Marzio claimed that OGC Nice have joined Chelsea in the race for the midfielder and are ready to beat surpass the Blues’ offer.

Should Chelsea complete a move for the 19-year-old midfielder, he would likely be sent out on loan, especially as permitting and registering young players has become a lot more complex following Britain’s exit from the European Union.
