Chelsea target regrets signing for Man Utd
Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted he regrets making a return to Manchester United, according to Piers Morgan.
According to Morgan, he had spoken to Ronaldo about the Premier League club in April.
The Portuguese star returned to Old Trafford just over a year ago to fanfare after he left Italian side Juventus.
Following his return to Old Trafford, the 37-year-old has endured a difficult second season under new manager Erik ten Hag.
In a column for The Times, Morgan wrote: “‘I can’t just keep ignoring what’s going on inside the club right now,” he told me. ‘It’s so amateur. No defined goal, no leadership, no organisation, just a desert of ideas. The future is very dark unless things change very fast.’
“I asked him if he regretted going back and he sighed: ‘Perhaps my heart spoke louder than reason.’”
Ronaldo has been in the news since his explosive interview with Morgans.
