Chelsea star sends strong warning to Premier League rivals ahead of new season

Chelsea are set to Kickstart their Premier League season in the next few days and Mateo Kovacic has sent a warning to their rivals ahead of the season.

Kovacic arrived at Chelsea from Real Madrid two years ago from Real Madrid after a loan spell and has become an important figure in the squad.

The Croatian midfielder played a decisive role in the blues Champions League victory last season and believes that under Thomas Tuchel Chelsea can now become serial winners.

Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s UEFA Super Cup match against Villarreal, Kovacic stated that Chelsea is a club that is used to winning trophies, and that every year is competing for trophies.

He noted that the current young team has shown that in the last year that they can achieve great things and are not going to stop there.

Kovacic insisted that they are a young team that is hungry for titles, that want to win titles and they need to concentrate tonight to lift their first one of the season.

He added that the tonight the blues have the first opportunity to lift a trophy and they will do everything to be on our highest level to compete against a great opponent to do that.

Chelsea will be eager to continue from where they left off last season by beating Villarreal before they play their first Premier League match against Crystal Palace.
