Callum Hudson-Odoi also fitted in as a wing-back and James was forced to start the majority of the match from the bench.

When asked about how he has been coping with the tactical change while speaking to the official club media, James revealed that it has taken some time to get used to the fluid football that Thomas Tuchel has introduced at the club.
James stated that it’s taken a little bit of getting used to it as he’s not used to his centre-backs running past him but he has played enough and it’s become normal now.

The England international added that it. just comes back to understanding and he thinks as a team they are growing well, game by game they are getting stronger.

He noted that Working together and working as a team is helping a lot as to how hard they work in training is reflected on the pitch.
