Manchester City star Julian Alvarez reacted to rumours linking him with a move away from Etihad Stadium this summer.

The forward, who has impressed in two seasons at Etihad Stadium, in a statement said he is “comfortable and happy” at Man City.

Recall that Alvarez scored 17 goals in the club’s treble-winning 2022-23 season and 19 goals for Man City to win their fourth consecutive Premier League title in 2023-24.

Despite being a backup to Erling Haaland, only seven Manchester City players played more minutes than the Argentine last season.

Consider that Alvarez is unlikely to displace Haaland, who has now scored 90 goals in 98 games for City, there have been speculations about his move away from the Etihad in search of regular game time elsewhere.

Chelsea and French side PSG are said to be among the top clubs tracking the 24-year-old.,

The Blues are known to be in the race for a new forward this summer after Nicolas Jackson struggled to impress in his first season.

However, Alvarez has debunked the speculations that he may join the West London club as he confirmed he is happy to stay at Man City beyond this summer.

Speaking via ESPN, Alvarez said, “These are things that are said, but I am calm, I am comfortable and happy at City. We will see what happens.”
