Chelsea star issues stern warning to teammates ahead of tie against Everton

Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta has sent a strong message to his teammates ahead of their crunch time against Everton on Monday night.

The blues have been putting in impressive performance ever since Thomas Tuchel arrived at the club and they are not showing any signs of slowing down.

Chelsea’s last victory was against last season Premier League winner Liverpool with Mason Mount scoring the only goal that once again cemented Chelsea’s place on the table

However, despite all this victory, Cesar Azpilicueta isn’t carried away as the Spanish defender believes his team has to more focused than ever if they want to achieve a good thing this season.

Speaking in an interview with Chelsea FC’s website, Azpilicueta stated that the team know there are still a lot of games to play and when they get closer and closer, every game is so important because it’s more difficult to get back if you lose points.

He noted that they are very happy to beat Liverpool, a rival the team are fighting with to get into the top four and to get a clean sheet again shows the team is improving.

Azpilicueta added that the team are looking forward to the future but on Monday as they have another challenge against Everton so now it is well done for the team but they have to focus only on that.

A victory against Everton will give Chelsea more confidence as they are willing to compete for the top four battle.
