Chelsea sign Jamaica star

Chelsea on Friday, January 12 announced the signing of Jamaica international Dujuan Richards.

The West London club in a statement issued via its website said Richards completed his transfer to Stamford Bridge from the Phoenix Academy.

The Jamaica international sealed a deal with Chelsea in the summer and trained with the first-team squad during their pre-season tour of the USA.

Richards’ arrival at Chelsea was delay due to his age as he recently celebrated his 18th birthday in November.

He has, however, now completed his switch to Stamford Bridge.

‘I’m so pleased to be here,” Richards told Chelsea’s website.

“My dream was always to sign a professional contract and to have the chance to do that here at Chelsea, it’s difficult to put into words the emotions. I just can’t wait to get started.”
