While the January transfer window is still on, the Blues have been linked with some new businesses that could see new players arrive at Stamford Bridge.

According to the latest reports, Chelsea have been linked with moves to sign Mohamed Simakan from Strasbourg.

The reports added that the Ligue 1 side have informed how much it will cost the Blues and every other clubs interested to secure a deal for Simakan.

While Chelsea under Frank Lampard may have spent heavily in the summer transfer window, it looks like they will be spending more to improve their squad this January.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, he revealed that Chelsea are keeping tabs on potential additions to add to their squad as they build for the future.

And one of the players the Blues see in their future squad is 20-year-old Simakan who according to Di Marzio will cost them £18m as that is the price Strasbourg will agree to before they will allow him leave.

Simakan has been a regular player in the Ligue 1’s side defence this season with a total of 18 starts to his name already.

It is uncertain if he will be willing to move to Stamford Bridge where he would most likely be sent out on loan for the mean time.
