Chelsea recalls midfielder from Leicester City

Amid the January transfer window, Chelsea appeared to have been recalling some of their loaned-out players.

The latest update revealed Cesare Casadei has joined the list of the Blues players who have been recalled.

Chelsea led by manager Mauricio Pochettino recalled Casadei from his loan spell at Leicester City.

The Blues announced the midfielder’s return in a statement released via their website on Friday.

Before this return to Stamford Bridge, Casadei made 25 appearances in all competitions for Leicester.

He also had three goals to his name for the Foxes this term.

Recall that Casadei moved to the West London club in August 2022 from Serie A side Inter Milan.

He was part of the Blues first-team squad that travelled to the United States for pre-season last summer.

There are no details on whether Pochettino has plans for the midfielder in his squad or the next club he would be loaned to.
