Chelsea, Real Madrid considering swap deal
Amid the ongoing summer transfer window, a recent report has revealed that Spanish giants Real Madrid and Chelsea are working out a possible swap deal.
The Los Blancos and the Blues are in talks on a swap deal for goalkeepers Andriy Lunin and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
A report via AS disclosed that Chelsea are considering a transfer for Lunin in recent weeks but are not willing to pay Real Madrid’s €30million asking price.
An alternative on their table which is being discussed between both clubs is a swap deal that could see Lunin move to Stamford Bridge while Kepa will return to Santiago Bernabeu on a permanent basis.
The Spanish giants will also hope to get a fee as part of the deal, considering Lunin’s value after his impressive form last season.
On the other hand, Kepa is said to be looking forward to returning to manager Carlo Ancelotti’s side even if it means to get a pay cut.
Recall that Kepa had the opportunity of winning both the Champions League and LaLiga titles with the Los Blancos last season.
With the Blues still trying to assemble a new squad under their newly appointed manager Enzo Maresca, it is unsure if they will be able to compete for trophies in the forthcoming season.
