Chelsea ready to offload 19-year-old midfielder

Chelsea are reportedly set to let their midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka leave this summer.

This comes amid interest for him from the Italian side AC Mikan.

Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio in a statement on his website said AC Milan are keen on signing Chukwuemeka from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Chelsea are ready to send the young midfielder out on loan for next season with a view to making the deal permanent, according to Di Marzio.

It would, however, be a loss for Chelsea to let Chukwuemeka leave this summer as he was one of their few players who impressed this season despite their woeful form that saw them slipped to the 12th spot on the league table.

With no European tournament for the Blues next season, it is best for them to let their new manager Mauricio Pochettino focus on rebuilding a new squad and trying out a youngster like Chukwuemeka.
