Chelsea read to splash £70 million on this Man Utd player

Chelsea are making some moves this January transfer window as recent reports revealed they could sign Manchester United starlet Bobbie Mainoo.

This comes as the youngster could be made to leave Old Trafford due to the club’s poor financial outlook.

According to reports, Chelsea are said to be ‘ready’ to make a £70million bid for his services.

Amid the Red Devils’ poor form, Mainoo has been one of their most consistent players since he joined the team back in November 2023.

His form has seen Chelsea take an interest, with the Blues said to keen to add the young talent to their impressive squad.

With Man Utd’s book in the red, they would have to see some of their players leave including Mainoo.

The current situation at Old Trafford, the Blues are said to have reached out to Mainoo’s representatives for a potential move, as Chelsea’s owner Todd Boehly and continue to be focused on recruiting the best young talents in Europe.

Chelsea are said to be ready to pay £70million’ to convince Man United to part ways with their academy graduate.

Meanwhile, Mainoo is under contract until June 2027, and it is uncertain the Red Devils would be leaving to let him leave yet.
