Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has been advised to sign Bayern Munich 2021 FIFA Best Men’s Player, Robert Lewandowski this summer.

This is according to former Chelsea star, Glen Johnson, who believes Lewandowski, would make a good supplement at Stamford Bridge.

Lewandowski has been in demand ever since he revealed he wouldn’t be signing a new contract with Bayern Munich this summer following another impressive season during which he broke the 40-goal mark and won the German Bundesliga title.

The reason for the Polish player’s departure as being linked to the report that he was demanding around £600,000-a-week, which Bayern Munich are not ready to pay.

Since he has refused to sign a new contract, Bayern are ready to let the Polish striker leave for a fee this summer instead of losing him for nothing next summer.

There are claims that Chelsea, Barcelona, Man United and Liverpool have all shown interest to sign him.

“In terms of the player himself, then yes. But business-wise, what that might do to [Romelu] Lukaku, if he is not playing, where is he going to go, how much is he going to be worth,” Johnson told Betting Odds.

“They bought him for an awful lot of money. But at the same time, if they give him another six months and he doesn’t perform, then they might miss out on the top four. It’s a tough one.

“While Lewandowski is available on the free, I think you have to try and sign him.”
