Chelsea owners slammed for crisis at club
Former Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves has criticised Chelsea owners over the recent crisis at the club.
According to Hargreaves, the club owners made a very grave mistake when they allowed sports administrators such as Petr Cech, Marina Granovskaia and others to leave the club.
The former midfielder explained that the likes of Cech and Granovskaia were the people who should have steadied the ship at Stamford Bridge.
Hargreaves believes Chelsea owner’s action is the reason for the club’s poor performance this season.
“You get new owners and Todd Boehly comes in, they get rid of Petr Cech, Marina Granovskaia, they got rid of all the football people at that club,” Hargreaves told Premier League Productions.
“Why would you get rid of all the football people? Now it looks like there are no football people at the club. The decisions they have made, it has been a mess, it has been reckless, spending £600m and finishing in the bottom half is ridiculous really.”
