Chelsea are to complete their spending with a player-plus-cash swap deal for West Ham’s Declan Rice adding up to £70m, as indicated by a report.

Chelsea have not been able to spend the previous summer because of a transfer ban, the Blues have just spent enormous this summer.

The club have affirmed the signings of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner for a consolidated £73.5m.

Chelsea have also stepped up their quest for two other top targets. The Blues have agreed a personal terms with Kai Havertz and look very certain to sign Ben Chilwell.

As indicated by Ivisionsport, Frank Lampard’s side won’t have completed once those deals go through.

The source claims Chelsea will hold up until the end of the transfer window – towards October – before posting a “massive” offer for West Ham’s Declan Rice.

Undoubtedly, the deal will add up to £70m and including a Chelsea player – but it is hazy who that is destined to be.

Chelsea are apparently ready to offload a few players before next season. Among them will probably be Tiemoue Bakayoko, who is back at Stamford Bridge after his loan at Monaco.

Timo Werner’s arrival also implies Michy Batshuayi’s future looks in doubt. Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud are also ahead of the Belgian in Frank Lampard’s pecking order.

Ivisionsport includes that West Ham and Declan Rice himself have given Chelsea support over a deal.
