Chelsea offer star to Napoli, want permanent deal

Chelsea have been busy this summer transfer window. While the Blues have welcomed new signings, they are also working on offloading some of their players.

Raheem Sterling is one of the players the Blues want to part ways for and they want a permanent deal for him.

A recent report claimed Chelsea have offered Sterling to Italian side Napoli.

Recall that Sterling was sent out on loan to Arsenal last season.

However, he failed to impress at the North London club, returning to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Aside from Napoli, Bayer Leverkusen are among Sterling’s potential suitors, with the German side considering whether to step up their interest.

However, popular football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, in a recent statement, disclosed that Serie A club Napoli have been presented with the opportunity to sign Sterling.

Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, who is now in charge at Napoli is in need of another winger despite already signing Noa Lang from PSV Eindhoven.

The Naples are reported to be ‘assessing their options’, with Sterling being one of the names on their target list.

Others on the list include Nottingham Forest-linked Dan Ndoye and Real Sociedad star Take Kubo.
