Chelsea have been handed transfer boost target in their bid to sign Jorrel Hato from Dutch club Ajax in the summer transfer window.

This comes as the recent report disclosed that Hato was dropped from Aax’s pre-season friendly against Celtic.

While the 19-year-old, who has made over 100 first-team appearances since emerging from Ajax’s academy, still has three years left on his current deal, he has been linked to a move to Stamford Bridge.

Dropping Hato from Ajax’s squad further signalled a high chance that he will leave the Amsterdam Arena this summer.

Hato’s agent later confirmed that his client was in talks to sign for Chelsea this summer.

The Blues are close to reaching agreement with the Dutch club over a transfer worth around £34.5m.
