Chelsea midfielder tells Maresca he is staying at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea midfielder, Cesare Casadei, in a recent statement made it clear he doesn’t have plans to exit the club next year.
Casadei made his decision to stay at Stamford Bridge beyond the summer known when he had the chance of leaving the club to go on on loan transfer.
Following his refusal to leave, the Italian midfielder has not feature in the Premier League for the Blues this season, while being an unused substitute on two occasions.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, however, gave him game chances in the Carabao Cup as he played the full 90 minutes in the Blues 5-0 win over Barrow.
Casadei in a statement said he is not thinking of leaving Chelsea in January, not now.
According to the midfielder, it was his decision to stay out at Stamford Bridge and not go out on loan, after speaking to Maresca.
He added that he never had plans to leave the Blues permanently as he has always wanted to play for Chelsea, which he considers one of the biggest teams in the world.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will return to action in the Europa Conference League on Thursday when the play against Gent.
