Chelsea midfielder linked to Man Utd for £30m

Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic has been linked with a summer move to Manchester United, who are keen on signing him to their squad.

Man United are reportedly willing to meet Chelsea’s asking price of £30 million for the Croatian, who is expected to leave the West London side in the upcoming summer transfer window.

A report via Football Insider revealed the Red Devils have a strong interest in bringing the former Real Madrid star to Old Trafford and are ready to pay £30 million to secure the deal for the 29-year-old’s signature.

Kovacic’s current contract with Chelsea will expire at the end of next season and there are yet to be talks of any contract extension.

The Blues, who are in need of funds this summer after splashing millions on new players, could be forced to cash in on the Croatia international.

Man Utd will also face competition from their rivals Man City, who are also interested in Kovacic.
