Chelsea manager insists he’s to be blamed for the treatment of talented winger
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has insisted that he is to be blamed for the treatment Christian Pulisic has been receiving ever since he joined the club.
Christian Pulisic has become a prominent player in the Chelsea squad ever since he moved from Borussia Dortmund despite that he’s been struggling with injuries.
The United States of America international has appeared 8 times in all competitions under Thomas Tuchel with his appearance in the blues 1-0 FA Cup win over Barnsley last month his only start.
Pulisic has been forced to start off the bench in the other matches and Tuchel believes the winger had an impact player from the bench.
Tuchel while speakingin his post-match press conference (via HaytersTV) stated that maybe Pulisic’s problem is that he knew from Dortmund how strong he is from the bench.
The former Borussia Dortmund manager pinpointed that Pulisic has only started in the cup games and yeah, it’s his responsibility and fault that such thing is happening.
Tuchel noted that it’s a bit unfair because he know what an impact Pulisic can have in 20-30 minutes as he was a bit unlucky in the last games.
The former Paris Saint-Germain manager added that there is no lack of trust, not because a lack of quality, however, Pulisic just needs to be a bit patient.
Pulisic has amassed just 108 minutes of Premier League action since Tuchel’s arrival as he came in as a sub in Chelsea’s victory over Everton.
