Chelsea leading race for £15 million star

The ongoing world cup has been an avenue for clubs to commence their search for players they could sign in the January transfer window.

With Chelsea keen on making some new addition to their squad, a report via Le10Sport in France revealed that Chelsea have already secured the £15m signing of Andrey Santos playing for Vasco De Gama.

The report added that French club PSG had been close, but have now given up because Chelsea were “quicker” to get a deal done.

Vasco have just been promoted back to the Brazilian top flight, thanks in part of the efforts of the young attacker.

Aside from PSG, other clubs interested in Santos like Newcastle and Barcelona will have to look elsewhere.

The recent update is yet to be confirmed to be true by Chelsea, however, fans may have to wait till the commencement of the January transfer window to know if the Blues would confirm the deal.
