Chelsea defender reveals what new manager has changed in the team
Chelsea right-back Recce James has revealed what Thomas Tuchel has changed in the team ever since he came on board.
Recce James was one of Frank Lampard’s most trusted player and question were raised about his place in the team when Thomas Tuchel was announced as the new manager.
His place in the team raised further eyebrows when Tuchel replaced him at right wing-back for the first two games with Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Callum Hudson-Odoi flourished in the role as James was forced to sit on the bench and make only a 17-minute cameo appearance against Burnley.
However, he started the next two matches and he put in an impressive performance that will delight the coaching crew.
James has now insisted that the team are playing better than when Frank Lampard was the head coach, highlighting what Tuchel has changed.
Speaking after their victory over Sheffield United, James stated that from the minute Tuchel came in he made his style of play very evident and clear.
James noted that he thinks the team have taken that onboard very well, and it’s crystal clear that the team look like they are playing better as a team as well.
The England international will be hoping he retains his place when Chelsea play their next match against Barnsley in the FA Cup.
