Chelsea contract talks with Germany defender Antonio Rudiger have broken down as the a report via SportingLife claimed that there are currently no negotiations ongoing between both parties.

While a possible contract extension for the German defender was discussed between Rudiger’s representatives and the club last month.

However, Rudiger is yet to sign an extension and no improved offer has been tabled.

Rudiger’s current deal expires in the summer, and the German insists he is happy at Stamford Bridge.

However, the 28-year-old admits, “there are also other people who have to make decisions”.

Aside from Chelsea and Barcelona, other top clubs interested in Rudiger are Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich as they all hope you reach a pre-contract agreement – and talks are ongoing with Rudiger’s representative.

In another report, Rudiger is expected to be in action when the Blues take on Crystal Palace in the English Premier this weekend.
