Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has responded to the reports linking the Blues with Barcelona forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Aubameyang, who joined Barcelona in January from Arsenal, has been in reports suggesting a move this summer.

While Xavi wants the striker to remain at Camp Nou, Barcelona need to offload players to free up space In their wage bill to register new players.

Speaking ahead of their game against Everton this weekend, Tuchel opened up on Chelsea’s interest in Aubameyang.

“I would be interested in the 79 goals! We will not comment further,” the Chelsea boss said.

“There are a lot of names out there, sometimes due to the fact we discuss a lot of names but also sometimes pure speculation. We will not get involved.”

Since moving to Spain, Aubameyang has scored 13 goals for Barcelona in 23 appearances, and the former Arsenal player has three years left on his current contract.
