Carabao League: Kepa and Jorginho injury update ahead of game vs Man City
Chelsea manager Graham Potter in his press conference ahead of their Wednesday game vs Man City revealed that he has one additional injury to contend with following their Sunday’s defeat to Arsenal.
Italian midfielder Jorginho has been added to the growing Chelsea injury list ahead of their trip to face Manchester City this evening.
Potter also gave the latest on Kepa Arrizabalaga’s injury, confirming this cup tie comes too soon for the Spanish goalkeeper to be involved.
‘Jorginho has a slight problem with his foot, so he’s doubtful for tomorrow,’ said Potter. ‘Apart from that we’re with pretty much the same group that we had.
‘Kepa is still unavailable. We’ll see about the World Cup. He’s got to take it day by day, it’s a tear in the plantar fascia, so it depends on how he responds, how he responds to pain, and how comfortable he feels, but at the moment it’s not so positive.’
Chelsea will hope to bounce back with at least a draw against Man City.
