Brazil star reveals why he sign for Real Madrid over Chelsea
Brazil youngster, Endrick who was previously linked with moves to Chelsea, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and other top European clubs in a recent statement has opened up on why he opted for Spanish club Real Madrid.
Endrick signed a deal with Real Madrid from Palmeiras but wouldn’t join the La Liga champions until July 2024 when he would have turned 18.
The Los Blancos were able to secure a deal for the 16-year-old forward ahead of top clubs, most notably Chelsea.
According to Endrick in a report via Marca, he joined Real Madrid because of his idol Cristiano Ronaldo, who played for the Los Blancos in the past.
Endrick said, “Real Madrid are a very big team, and Vini [Vinicius] had sent me messages and gave me more hope. Cristiano too, who is my idol, also played for Real Madrid.
“That is why I chose Real Madrid and I think it is the right choice. God has always been with me and he has told me that it is the best path.”
