Boehly tempted to make move for Man Utd striker
With Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku out of Chelsea this summer, the club have in need of a new striker.
Their lack of good attack was visible during their 2-2 match against Tottenham Hotspurs on Sunday despite dominating the match from the beginning to the end.
However, a report has linked Chelsea with moves for Man Utd wantaway striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese was linked with moves to Chelsea some weeks back after his agent met with Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly.
Why the Red Devils have said Ronaldo is not for sale, Boehly is tempted to submit a bid for the Portuguese, this is according to transfer insider Dean Jones.
But manager Thomas Tuchel doesn’t consider Ronaldo a good addition to his squad and doesn’t see any need for him at Stamford Bridge.
Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “He’s definitely tempted to make an offer if no-one else is going in for Ronaldo and I can understand why, to some extent.
“But when you see the way that Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz play in that frontline, Ronaldo just doesn’t fit, so I’m on Tuchel’s side on that one.”
