Chelsea star Raheem Sterling has named Mauricio Pochettino as the best manager fit to coach the Blues.

Sterling in his statement said it is difficult to play against Pochettino’s team, stressing that the Argentine would bring what the Blues needed to impress next season.

The England star made this known in a statement via Chelsea’s official website on Friday.

Recall that Pochettino was appointed as Chelsea’s next permanent manager at the end of last season following their poor form that saw them slip to the 12th spot on the league table.

Pochettino, who has coached Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur took over from interim manager Frank Lampard this summer and has been tipped to succeed at Chelsea next season.

“When I first heard [about Mauricio Pochettino’s appointment], I thought it was an exciting one. I know how difficult it is to play against his teams,” Sterling said.

“They are always resilient and tough to play against.
