Ballon d’Or 2021: Chelsea win club of the year ( 2021)

The prestigious Ballon d’Or award for the year 2021 went down last night, with EPL side Chelsea winning the club of the year.

Chelsea were able to clinch the award to their impressive performance that saw them have the highest number of nominees on the Ballon d’Or nominee list.

The Blues players, Mason Mount, N’Golo Kante and Jorginho, made the 30-man list for this year award.

However, Paris Saint-Germain PSG striker and Argentina international Lionel Messi won the Ballon d’ Or this year ahead of Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski and Chelsea’s Jorginho.

Kopa Trophy (best player under 21) – Barcelona’s Pedri

Best Striker of the Year award – Lewandoski

Women’s Ballon d’Or 2021 – Barcelona’s Alexia Putellas

Yachine Trophy 2021 – PSG’s Gianluigi Donnarumma

Men’s Ballon d’Or 2021 – PSG’s Lionel Messi.

Club of the Year award – Chelsea

Chelsea are on the course of winning another major title this season as they are currently seated at the top of their group in the UCL and are also seated at the top of the EPL table.
