Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has opened up on England star Mason Mount snubbing a move to the club this summer.

According to Arteta, the Gunners have no regrets about missing out on signing  Mount from Chelsea.

Recall that the Gunners were linked with a move to sign the England midfielder after it became evident he wanted to leave Stamford Bridge.

The 24-year-old, however, snubbed Arsenal and completed a move to Old Trafford with Man Utd instead.

Arsenal on the other hand went on to sign Mount’s former team-mate, Kai Havertz.

Aside from Havertz, the Gunners also signed Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice.

Arteta in a pre-match statement before Arsenal friend match vs Man Utd on Saturday insisted he is happy with the club’s business this summer.

“We are so happy with the players that we’ve signed and the players that we’ve got in our squad,” Arteta replied when asked about Mount’s decision to join United.
