Arsenal could make a major move in the January transfer window as the recent reports revealed they are in talks with Nico Williams’ agent.

The Gunners are said to be willing to match the release clause to sign the player from Athletic Club this month.

It is no news that Williams has been a long-term target on the Gunners’s list having tried to sign him in the summer window after his performance with Spain in the Euro 2024, which saw them win the trophy.

A report via Goal disclosed that the Gunners manager Mikel Arteta is determine to include more quality to his attack, especially with one of his star player Bukayo Saka set to be away for more than two months after undergoing surgery on his hamstring.

The outcome of the Gunners’ discussion with Williams’ agent will determine if a transfer is possible this month.

But the North London side are willing to match the €58million clause required to make the move happen immediately.

With Saka on the sidelines, Arteta and Arsenal will have to rely on Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Ethan Nwaneri and Raheem Sterling in the wide areas as the season continues.
