Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is considering making some new signings amid the club’s woes since he took over from Erik ten Hag.

Amorim is looking forward to bolstering his squad and is said to have eyes on some players he would love to have in his squad.

One of the players Amorim is reportedly pushing for the Red Devils to sign is Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres.

The Sweden international has become a centre of attraction following his impressive form for Sporting during the 2024-25 season, scoring 27 goals and creating six assists in 27 appearances in all competitions.

However, Man Utd will face competition from top clubs like Manchester City, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, who are also said to be interested in Gyokeres.

Amorim intends to use his relationship with the striker, due to their time together in Lisbon to bring him to Old Trafford.

Man United also have financial problems, having spent money over the summer, meaning they will have to sell some players to sign players during the January market.
