Arsenal have reportedly submitted an initial bid for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke, though a key hurdle could complicate the deal despite a broad agreement between the player and the Gunners.

The North London club has been highly active in the transfer market this summer. They have already secured the signings of Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga, with Brentford’s Christian Norgaard expected to become their third addition in the coming days. However, their recruitment drive is far from over.

Arsenal remain focused on strengthening their attacking options after finishing second in the Premier League for the third consecutive season and falling short in their pursuit of silverware in the 2024/25 campaign. The club is targeting reinforcements in three key attacking roles—a striker, a winger, and an attacking midfielder.

Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres has emerged as their top striker target, with negotiations well advanced. Arsenal are also long-time admirers of Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze as an option for the No.10 role.

In the search for a winger, Madueke has now emerged as their primary target. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have submitted an initial offer for the England international. However, despite the player reportedly being open to the move, Chelsea’s valuation and stance on a sale could prove to be a major stumbling block in negotiations.

Talks are expected to continue, but Arsenal may need to raise their offer to push the deal over the line.
