Arsenal are keen on signing West Ham star Declan Rice as they have submitted a third bid for him.

A report via The Athletic revealed the Gunner’s latest bid is worth £100m upfront and £5m in add-ons.

Should West Ham accept this offer, it will become the new British record fee for any player ever.

The North London side had previously submitted a second bid of £75m upfront and £15m in add-ons, which was rejected by West Ham, who also rejected a £80m upfront and £10m in add-ons.

With Arsenal playing in the Uefa Champions League next season, their manager, Mikel Arteta, is desperate to beef up his midfield, with Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey expected to leave the Emirates this summer.

Aside from Arsenal, Chelsea had been linked with moves to sign Rice this summer but they seem to have turned their focus on other players who can play a similar role.
