Chelsea have secured a new signing for another youngster that would move to Stamford Bridge when he clocks 18.

The new signing is Jamaica international Dujuan ‘Whisper’ Richards.

Chelsea made the signing public in a statement via their website over the weekend.

Richards is expected to join Chelsea next season after his 18th birthday.

The 17-year-old forward made his senior international debut for Jamaica earlier this year when they went head-to-head against Trinidad & Tobago.

Chelsea’s new signing was also chosen by Jamaica for the upcoming Gold Cup.

A brief look at his history showed he began his football career at the age of 11 when he joined the Phoenix Allstars Football Academy.

Richards also has an edge as he has experience playing against English opposition at the youth level and at the 2022 Manning Cup, an Under-19 competition regarded as Jamaica’s most prestigious youth tournament, where he represented Kingston College and registered 31 goals with 19 assists.
