Arsenal have reportedly shown interest to sign Chelsea forward Kai Havertz this summer if the Blues lower his transfer fee.

Havertz, who joined Chelsea in a deal worth £75 million in 2020, has been listed among the players who could be sold this summer as the Blues look to red down their bloated squad and raise significant funds to make some new signings.

Arsenal on the other hand are keen on making some new additions to their squad this summer after they finished in second place in the Premier League last season, and would be playing in the UCL next season.

For this reason, the Gunners have identified Havertz as a potential signing.

Aside from Arsenal, the 23-year-old German has been linked with a move to Spanish club Real Madrid, who consider him a replacement for Karim Benzema, who recently moved to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad.

However, the Daily Telegraph reported that Arsenal are also carefully monitoring the situation.

The report added that the Blues are ready to let Havertz leave but are determined to recoup a figure close to the one they paid Bayer Leverkusen three years ago.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid and Arsenal are not ready to pay more than £50m for the forward.
