Arsenal have been linked with a move for Leicester City James Maddison and it looks like the deal might be completed before the end of the transfer window.

James Maddison is reportedly willing to join Arsenal and his manager, Brendan Rodgers has admitted that he understands why the England international want to leave Leicester City this summer.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Rodgers stated that he believes at this moment in time, Leicester City is a very attractive place to be.

He noted that if anyone want to develop as a player, work in world-class training facilities and be a part of a real community club with a family feel, then Leicester is a great place for them.

However, Rodgers insisted that having been at so-called big clubs, he can also understand what the draw of them can be for a player.

He added that for Leicester, it’s just about developing the football club.

Leicester City have begin the season in a good way as they outclass Manchester City to win the community shield at Wembley stadium.

Maddison played in that game and Rodgers is keen to keep hold of the midfielder with Arsenal yet to make much progress in negotiations.
