Enzo Maresca’s take over at Chelsea has stirred up debate about his experience and if he can handle a big club like the west London side.

Amid the talks about Maresca being in experience, Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti has thrown his weight behind his Chelsea counterpart.

Ancelotti tipped Maresca to ‘do well’ at Stamford Bridge.

Recall that several football over expressed surprise when Mauricio Pochettino left his role as Chelsea’s manager this summer on mutual agreement with the club’s hierarchy.

Pochettino had helped the Blues finished in the top six on the league table in his first season at Stamford Bridge.

Despite this, he was sacked as Chelsea led by Todd Boehly brought in Maresca from Leicester City as Pochettino’s replacement.

Chelsea’s performances so far in the pre-season games have left some of their fans worried ahead of the next season.

However, Ancelotti while speaking on John Obi Mikel’s Obi One Podcast said experience is not the most important part of the job of a manager.

He stressed that while it is part of their job, the most important part is, however, the knowledge.

According to the Real Madrid coach, the fact that Maresca has experience with Pep Guardiola and with Leicester City, means he has knowledge to manage and to do well at Chelsea.
