After Chalobah, Chelsea move to sell two homegrown stars

Chelsea are working on reducing their squad size this summer transfer window as they are set to bid goodbye to some of their players.

While Conor Gallagher is close to completing a transfer to Spanish sde Atletico Madrid, with his medical expected to take place on Wednesday, and the Blues are now reportedly planning to sell another two academy graduates before summer deadline.

A report via Football Insider revealed the west London side are looking to balance their books by selling another two academy stars in Trevoh Chalobah and Armando Broja.

The report added the Blues have informed Chalobah and Broja that they are open to accepting offers for them in this transfer window.

Having been considered surplus to requirements under new manager Enzo Maresca, it is said that the two players are now on the search for transfer away from Stamford Bridge by the August 31 deadline.

While Chalobah was left out of Maresca’s US pre-season touring squad and is said to be on the radar of Fulham, Broja on the other hand is being linked with a return to Southampton.

Meanwhile, Chelsea lost to Spanish giants Real Madrid in their recent friendly match.

They will face Inter on this weekend.
