UCL: Arsenal star nominated for player of the week

Arsenal’s performance in the Champions League against German side Bayern Munich has seen the club star Martin Odegaard been nominated for the Player of the Week award.

The North London club skipper created the most chances in Tuesday’s 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich (5).

He also had the most passes in the final third (29) and had an overall passing accuracy of 88 percent.

Odegaard will have to compete for fans vote with the likes of Phil Foden for Manchester City against Real Madrid, Raphinha for Barcelona v Paris Saint-Germain and Antoine Greizmann for Atletico Madrid v Borussia Dortmund as they were also nominated for the awards.

Meanwhile, Arsenal who have been tipped as one of the favourites to win the Champions League this season, will have to defeat Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena when they meet in the second leg next Wednesday.
