EPL: Why Arsenal are in a better position to win title this season

Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney who is currently on loan away from Emirates Stadium has dropped his opinion on the Gunners’ chances of winning the English top-flight league this season.

The Scotland star who is currently signed to La Liga club Real Sociedad is rooting for his parent club to come out on top at the end of the season.

According to the Scot, Arsenal are in a better position than they were last season.

Tierney was in the Arsenal squad that narrowly missed out on the title last season to Man City despite leading the table for most of the season.

When asked if he thinks Mikel Arteta’s side could remain top of the table till the last day, Tierney said (as quoted by afcstuff): “I think they can. I don’t know exactly the run-in for the three teams fighting for it, but I think they’re in a better position than last year. They’ve got more experience, their whole game has developed so much; defensively, they’re solid; they don’t give much away.”

Once again this season, Arsenal are topping the table on goal difference, as they share the top spot with Liverpool on points while Manchester City are just one point behind.
