Arsenal summer signing Mikel Merino in a recent statement expressed his delight to have sign for a top club like Arsenal as he begins his journey at the Emirates Stadium.

Merino’s debut was delayed for a few weeks due to an injury he sustained during his first training session.

Recall that the North London club sealed a deal for Merino after his win at Euro 2024 with Spain, bringing his experience to the team.

Aside from his time at Real Sociedad, Merino has also played for Newcastle United and German side Borussia Dortmund, making him one of the most seasoned players currently in the Gunners squad.

As he hopes for more game time after the international break, Merino has admitted that his transfer to Arsenal has been a life-changing experience for him.

Merino in a statement via Mundo Deportivo said the recent summer transfer window was one of the best of his life.

He revealed that the ongoing project at Arsenal caught his attention and ambitious.
