Community Shield: Man City are the team to beat – Arteta

Arsenal will return to action this weekend when they face EPL winners Manchester City in the Community Shield game.

Ahead of the match Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has said the Citizens are the team to beat this season.

Arteta made this known while addressing the press on Friday ahead of the Community Shield game.

Recall that the Gunners saw their EPL title challenge slip away in the final weeks of last season, with Man City retaining their crown.

Arsenal will now look forward to starting a season with a win against Man City at Wembley.

“Very excited to play a final to win a trophy, we are playing against the team to beat.

“This is what we want (a new era for Arsenal), fighting for every trophy. We have to prove that. What we did last year was not enough to win the big trophy, and we have to be better.

“We have to try and maintain the level and improve it for them (fans),” Arteta said.
